Chelsey Edwards, LMSW

Welcome all and thank you so much for taking the time to view my website!  My name is Chelsey Edwards and I will be your therapist if you chose to work with me.  I have a master's degree in Social Work from Michigan State University and a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan Flint.  I am fully licensed through the State of Michigan.  I am a graduate of the Sexual Health Certificate Program and have a certificate in Sex Therapy and Sex Education from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. 

I am honored and grateful to work with every person that I see.  Sexual health is a very important part of life and I know it is not always easy to talk about.  It is amazing how quickly things can improve when a person decides to focus on sexual health issues.   I have worked with many persons who experience complicated grief and I am delighted when I see clients begin to take back their lives and work through their loss.  I am also trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and have worked with persons experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  There is help and there is hope! 

I am from Lapeer County, MI and it feels great to help my community!  I enjoy being outdoors and try to stay active. I try to be good to my mind and body by exercising and practicing yoga regularly and I love to read. I very much look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
